The Disability Impact on Career & Employment Self-Assessment Tool for Learners with Disabilities

Humber Polytechnic is the only post-secondary institution in Canada offering The Disability Impact on Career & Employment (D.I.C.E.) questionnaire, a self-assessment tool that focuses on career decision-making for learners with disabilities. While numerous career-focused tools exist, D.I.C.E. is the only one that assesses the impact of functional limitations related to disabilities, assesses how those limitations impact career choices, and makes recommendations for workplace accommodations to support success.

Academic & Career Services offers D.I.C.E. support for learners to bolster their employability pursuits. D.I.C.E. is free to full- and part-time students who want to demonstrate their potential to an employer through effective self-advocacy around disclosing and requesting accommodations.

After completing D.I.C.E. online, students are encouraged to follow up with our Student Success Advisor to review and rehearse how to use these results when advocating for accommodations.
