Creativity in Business (CiB) Pilot Program

The Creativity in Business (CiB) Program is a Standford-inspired pilot program that is only offered at Humber College facilitated by Applied Research and hosted by the Centre for Entrepreneurship (CfE). To register, go to humber.ca/cfe/programs.

Why should students be interested?
In an era of deep change and fierce competition for markets and employees, 21st century leaders need tools to help them become more reflective and attentive. This ability to inspire is determined by your integrity of character (who you are, what you stand for, and how you act), your alignment of purpose and the presence of trust. Authenticity and integrity occur when you develop self-awareness through self-reflection together with the ability to pay attention to others (empathy) and the current operating context.

What will our students be getting?

  • An assessment that describes how they learn, use and develop their own creative capacity
  • Four Saturday workshops over a three-month period, 10 a.m. - 3 p.m.
  • An online reflective community to discuss their purpose, their leadership capacity and their future
  • CCR Accreditation
  • Lunch provided
  • Access to two simulation games using an experiential approach

Their commitment?
To come to all four workshops and participate. Workshops will focus on:

  • Finding their purpose
  • Developing them as leaders
  • Building their capacity for creative problem solving
  • Next Steps: In Creative Data Storytelling

Please promote this to all your students. The least we can do for their futures is to point them to the right direction.
