Information Technology Services is pleased to announce the appointment of Gillian Carson as Director, Enterprise Applications starting Wednesday February 11, 2015.

The Director, Enterprise Applications leads the development and evolution of enterprise systems and technology in support of Humber’s strategic plan.  Reporting to the Chief Information Officer, the Director is responsible for services including business analysis, business intelligence & analytics, enterprise applications management, and enterprise technology.    Leading a team of professionals, the Director will build strong relationships with clients, provide strategic guidance on the evolution of enterprise systems and deliver solutions to meet the needs of Humber. 

Gillian brings experience to Humber from the public and private sectors including consulting for Canadian banks and a national law firm.  Working for the Ontario government, Gillian held senior roles in several ministries with responsibilities for projects of provincial scope.   Most recently, as Director, Strategic Business Enhancement Branch, Gillian was responsible for supporting over 43,000 users of the provincial Oracle Finance ERP system including system related change management, end-user education, communications and business intelligence.  Previously, Gillian led several provincial initiatives while at HROntario, part of the Ministry of Government Services.

Gillian holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Queens University.  Gillian is a certified Project Management Professional (PMP) and has a certificate in Adult Teaching & Training from George Brown College.  For the past three years, Gillian has been a member of the Humber Program Advisory Committee for the Project Management graduate certificate program.
