Humber Hospitality Graduate Receives Prestigious Award at Marriott Canada

March 15, 2016

Jeremy Adu, a graduate of the Hospitality-Business Applications program (now named Hospitality-Event Management), has just been recognized nationally a Subject Matter Expert and top sales associate with Marriott Canada. For this award, he was singled out amongst employees from every other Marriott and Delta in Canada.

In his role as Sales Coordinator at the Courtyard Toronto Downtown, Jeremy works closely and effectively with event and revenue management on CI/TY (Central Inventory/Total Yield) processes and reporting.

“Jeremy has taken on a leadership role with CI/TY to maximize results and to ensure that the team is fully engaged in the process,” says Loreen Lalonde, Director of Sales & Marketing, Courtyard Marriott Toronto Downtown. “He spearheads the training of all new associates and constantly helps current associates improve. He also takes the initiative to teach and guide his team in more efficient practices to maximize their effectiveness,” she adds.

CI/TY (Central Inventory/Total Yield) is the complex Marriott sales events and revenue booking and revenue on-line control system used by Marriott for all group bookings and sales department clients.

Jeremy has also been recognized for delivering great presentations in sales, events and revenue meetings planned exclusively for CI/TY.

We are very proud of our Humber alumni who continue to excel and shine in their industry of choice. Congratulations on your accomplishments, Jeremy!
