Humber College will be upgrading the existing enterprise business intelligence (BI) reporting solution to IBM Cognos Analytics (Cognos 11) by November 6, 2017. This upgrade is necessary as IBM is terminating their support of Cognos 10 in April 2018.
Cognos 11 is the latest enterprise BI platform for governed data discovery and managed reporting.
What’s not changing?
- All reports that are available in Cognos 10 (your current Cognos environment), will continue to be available in Cognos 11
- User and data security governing user access
What’s changing?
The system will provide you with a completely new user interface.
This includes:
- Enhanced navigation
- Search capability and hints
- Enhanced reporting and dashboard capabilities for authorized users
- Link to login via MyHumber under the Services > Report menu
When will Cognos 11 be in Production?
The plan is to have Cognos 11 live by November 6, 2017.
