4 Seasons of Reconciliation
Registration for this module closes on May 9 and onboarding takes place within a one-to-two-week period - Register now
This online module is designed directly in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commission of Canada’s Calls to Action specifically to Call to Action #62. This focuses on the need for institutions like Humber to implement curriculum and resources to help people learn about the historical and current context of Indigenous peoples. Through this learning, the module will promote a revitalized relationship between Indigenous Peoples and Canadians. This is a 3-hour asynchronous course offered through First Nations University of Canada.
Braiding the IWBKD Mindset into your practice: a conversation with IE&E Academic

This workshop explores ways to braid Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing and Doing, an HLO Mindset, into your curricula. An IWBKD mindset enables us to respect, reflect on and embrace Indigenous cultures, perspectives, systems of knowledges and approaches to life. Humber graduates recognize the cultural foundations and history of the land we inhabit and understand how they have shaped Indigenous realities today. They act bravely to create space for reconciliation, helping to co-create space for a future based on wisdom, love, honesty and truth.

Circle & The Box Training
June 11, 2025, 1 to 3 p.m., In-person, North Campus - Register now
This experiential and interactive exercise introduces participants to the foundations of Indigenous family systems – represented by the Circle – and explores how colonial systems – the Box – attempted to disrupt them. Through movement, storytelling, and reflection, participants engage with the ongoing survivance, resistance and strength of Indigenous communities.
