The School of Hospitality, Recreation & Tourism is pleased to announce the appointment of Kevin Smith as Program Co-ordinator for its Tourism Management-Travel Industry Services program.

Kevin has a well over a decade of experience in the tourism industry, working both internationally and in Canada in a wide variety of roles. This includes three years working in over a dozen countries around the world as a tour leader with G Adventures, as well as senior level positions in marketing and product development with leading brands such as Tucan Travel and Quark Expeditions. Kevin’s previous role was with Development Counsellors International (DCI), as a Travel Trade Manager where he executed marketing strategy for various Destination Marketing Organizations (DMO’s) including Tourism Australia, Visit California and The Ministry of Tourism of Ecuador.

Prior to taking the role, Kevin taught at Humber College part time for several years, in both the Tourism Management certificate program and in the Hospitality and Tourism Operations Management post graduate program.

Kevin will be working as one of two program coordinators supporting first year students, alongside Judy Hebner who will handle all students in second year.
