I am very pleased to announce that Nichole Molinaro is Humber's new Dean of Program Planning, Development and Renewal (PPDR).

Nichole joins Humber from Ontario Tech University where, most recently, she held the position of Director of Institutional Quality Enhancement. In her role at Ontario Tech, Nichole was responsible for overall quality enhancement at the institution, which involved the evaluation of administrative units and academic programs for a public research university (formerly University of Ontario Institute of Technology). Nichole was instrumental in building the university’s Centre for Institutional Quality Enhancement and quality assurance systems from the ground up. She also coordinated the integrated planning process for all academic and support units, and oversaw the creation of a fully integrated university-wide curriculum management system to support transparency, accuracy and efficiency of program development and renewal. 

During her 12-year tenure at Ontario Tech, Nichole also served as Senior Policy and Resource Analyst, where she was responsible for researching and making recommendations on a wide-range of topics affecting the university. She prepared government grants for funding, as well as strategic and policy documents for senior leaders on emerging issues.

Nichole has a wide range of experience crossing academic, non-profit, and government management roles, and has developed a solid reputation for building and leading effective teams to ensure a positive, collaborative and inclusive workplace culture. 

Nichole holds a Master of Public Administration from Carleton University and is pursuing a Doctor of Public Administration from Walden University, where she is focusing on Institutional Learning Outcomes development and the integration of ILOs in overall strategic planning.

At Humber, Nichole will report to me and be responsible for leading our PPDR team within the Centre for Innovative Learning, in collaboration with the Dean Innovative Learning and Dean Research and Innovation in support of a culture of quality, continuous improvement and innovation. Nichole will also work in close collaboration with the Faculties, the Dean of Continuous Professional Learning, Dean of Indigenous Education and Engagement and other stakeholders across the college. Nichole’s first day is July 28.
