Retirement: Cindy Panteleit

After 30 years of outstanding service and dedication to the Humber community and its students, Cindy Panteleit, Admissions Advisor, has decided to enjoy retirement as of June 30, 2021.

Cindy’s first role at Humber was in the mailroom and she eventually moved on to hold positions such as the Switchboard Operator and Secretary in Liberal Arts and Sciences. Cindy then joined the Office of the Registrar where she worked as a Customer Service Advisor, Call Centre Advisor, and an Admissions Advisor.

In her most recent role as an Admissions Advisor, she specifically supported programs that fell under the Faculty of Health Sciences and Wellness. Cindy is known for being in the office before 7 a.m. to make sure there was a smiling face ready to greet the first student of the day. She demonstrated strong work ethic, reliability, and dependability; and has witnessed countless changes over the years, and each time she has challenged herself to adapt. Her laugh is infectious and her desire to help students succeed is commendable. If you know Cindy well enough, you heard that contagious laugh as soon as you read the sentence.

Over the course of 30 years of supporting students, it's hard to imagine the number of students that Cindy personally supported and helped along the way. Nonetheless, her commitment to Humber has been outstanding.

Cindy plans to enjoy her retirement by spending time with her family, specifically her granddaughter Charlotte. Cindy is also a huge fan of the Toronto Maple Leafs and a secret admirer of John Tavares. Perhaps, we’ll have better luck next year!

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Cindy for her remarkable contributions to Humber. Cindy and her love of holiday music at the end of the year will be greatly missed in our office, but we are happy that she can enjoy this next chapter with her family.

On behalf of the Office of the Registrar and the Humber community at large, we wish Cindy all the best in retirement.

Cindy's last day of work will be Friday, June 11, and I encourage you to share your memories and warm wishes for Cindy by signing the virtual e-card.

Thank you,

Jennifer Smith
