Please join us in congratulating Simon Ibbotson for his retirement. After 40 years at Humber, Simon will be retiring from his Mailroom Clerk position at the end of December 2025. He started in 1986 at North Campus as HRT Receiving clerk and has held several positions since, including Bookstore receiver, HRT Receiving Coordinator, Food Services Purchaser, General Receiver at Lakeshore Campus until joining North Campus Mailroom in 2011.
Simon is an outstanding member of the Capital Development and Facilities Management team. His commitment, dedication and lasting contributions to his roles made a huge impact on our department and all our staff and students in our community. His unmatched passion and energy can be seen every day while delivering mail to all our offices. He takes customer service to a whole new level through his friendliness, approachability and positivity that lead him to knowing and forging a relationship with almost everyone on campus.
Simon will be greatly missed and it’s been a joy and privilege working with him. We wish Simon all the best in his well-deserved retirement as he exchanges his morning Humber mail run for longer walks with his dog and more time refereeing soccer games for youth in Toronto and Peel region.
We invite our community to share farewell notes and warm wishes through the digital e-card.
