Seeking Teaching Faculty to Support HLOs at Humber

We need your help. Have you had success implementing HLO Mindsets and Skills into your classes? We'd love your help in supporting other teaching faculty as they explore HLOs (Humber Learning Outcomes) in their courses.

Innovative Learning will run a series of workshops on HLOs in the May-June period, and we would love to highlight the expertise of teaching faculty who currently have a very good handle on HLO Mindsets, as well as examples of the ways that HLO Skills in Action have been implemented into teaching and learning at Humber.

There are two ways to get involved:

1. Seeking secondees to support workshops in May-June for other faculty on HLO Mindsets (Equity, Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging, Sustainability, Systems Thinking, and Indigenous Ways of Being, Knowing and Doing). Please check with your AD to explore options for a bit of time each week. For the sake of this conversation, we unofficially anticipate this may be one to two hours a week, depending on the nature of the topic and the number of secondees available to support their peers.

2. Seeking examples of how you have successfully integrated HLO Skills in Action into your teaching. We would love to showcase your innovation to the teaching community at Humber.

Please reach out to ranya.khan@humber.ca or heather.lowry@humber.ca to share ideas, examples, or questions.
