Back in November 30, 2020, we shared with you that Sun Life had launched their new digital solution for life insurance beneficiary designations. The new digital solution allows employees to eDesignate their beneficiaries.
Recently, Sun Life has released the revised benefit enrolment forms that remove the previously available life insurance beneficiary designation section. The revised forms are to be completed and submitted by Humber employees, after completing their benefit’s enrolment or update process within the Human Resource Management System (HRMS). These forms can be accessed by navigating to the HRMS’s homepage.

Reminder: Designation or Changes to a Life Insurance Beneficiary
- Life Insurance Beneficiary Appointment is designed through the Sun Life Plan Member Services online account at http://mysunlife.ca. Note - If you don’t have an existing Sun Life account, you will need to register for a new account before completing your Beneficiary Designation. Click here to learn how.
- Once you set up the Plan Member Services online account, instructions on how to eDesignate your Beneficiaries can be found on our HROE website: https://hrs.humber.ca/support/support-resources/benefitsresources/benefits.html or by clicking here.
- The benefits enrolment forms must be complete and emailed to the Compensation & Benefits Mailbox at compensationandbenefits@humber.ca.
