Humber Arboretum's 3rd Annual Winter Bird Count for Kids

A Bird Studies Canada Christmas Bird Count for Kids event


Introduce your kids (or yourself!) to the wonders of winter bird-watching with this special citizen science event for nature lovers of all ages and skill levels. All are welcome!

  • Learn about the birds you can see in Toronto

  • Get tips on bird-watching tools and techniques 

  • Learn about exciting citizen science projects

  • Try hand-feeding our friendly chickadees

  • Take a walk with an experienced group leader and see who you can spot on the Arboretum grounds

  • See how we submit the data so it can be added to observations from all over North America


Bring binoculars and bird guides if you have them, but if not, don't worry! We'll have lots of loaners on hand.
