When people behave badly off the job, should their employers punish them for it? The last several years have seen a number of high-profile cases in which employers have fired employees who did bad things – sometimes very bad things – in their private lives. In this lecture, Dr. MacDonald will investigate the moral nuances of some of those cases and explore what might motivate the broader public to favour employment-based punishment. He will also advance a number of additional, not-entirely hypothetical examples in order to problematize such punishment. Employment-based retribution may be tempting, but we should not welcome it.

Humber has just launched Ensemble Video, our new streaming video platform. Faculty can now seamlessly upload, manage and share their educational video content with colleagues and students. 

In this workshop, you will learn how to upload your videos to Ensemble and share them with students in Blackboard. The caption creation and annotation tools will also be demonstrated.

Pregnancy Massage at The Humber Massage Therapy Student Clinic

We are looking for participants in any stage of pregnancy that would like to take part in a free 2-hour massage therapy session. Participants will be assessed and treated by Humber students in their 3rd semester of the six semester Massage Therapy Program.

Appointments available October 11th, 12th, 14th, and 17th 2016.
