Create multiple assessments loaded with a variety of questions to help your students engage with the course content and review critical course material. Explore the various assessment options including randomization techniques, exploring pools versus tests, understanding the survey tool and adaptive release techniques.

SafeAssign, the Blackboard equivalent of TurnItIn, can be used to encourage students to identify how to properly attribute sources rather than paraphrase or plagiarize. SafeAssign compares your submitted assignments against a set of academic papers and databases to identify areas of overlap.

“Smart but odd…”, “An alien in a foreign social world…”,

“Marching to the beat of their own drum…”,

“A little dash of autism…”, “A tortured genius…”, “1 in 115!…”

These are just some of the phrases that come to mind when we think about “Asperger’s syndrome”.

In this workshop, we will work toward a better understanding of Asperger’s syndrome and also explore some tools you could use to support students with Asperger’s syndrome more effectively in your classroom.

Humber's North Campus will host the International African Inventors' Museum in the Concourse on January 30 and 31,10 a.m. until 4 p.m.

The museum is a travelling exhibit which shares the many contributions that persons of African descent have made throughout the world. Mini presentations will be offered by the curator throughout the day.

There will be an opening ceremony on January 30 at 9:45 a.m. and a closing ceremony on January 31 at 3:30 p.m. All are welcome to attend.
