Urban Maple Syrup Walk at the Humber Arboretum

Join Jimmy Vincent, Humber Arboretum's Coordinator of Camps, Education and Community Outreach, for a lunch hour walking tour of the Humber Arboretum’s sustainable urban sugar bush. You’ll learn about the process of tapping a tree and extracting sap along with the factors that the Arboretum takes into account to keep our the woodlands healthy and our maple syrup supply renewable. If the sap is running, you’ll get to taste a little maple sap yourself.

Lunch and Learns at the Humber Arboretum’s Centre for Urban Ecology offer free introductions to topics related to gardening, ecology, and sustainability. Bring your lunch (if you can walk and eat!) and enjoy a casual learning environment overlooking the Arboretum grounds.

This event is free but space is limited. Please register in advance through the Arboretum website to reserve a spot.

Bonus for Students: Humber College and University of Guelph-Humber students may apply this event to a Level One Learners CCR experience and/or a Nature and Ecology SpecialtyLearn about Co-Curricular Record Certified Learning at the Arb.
