Part-Time TESOL Program for Humber Faculty and Staff

The following information is about our part-time TESOL (Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages) program leading to TESL Canada certification offered in the School of Liberal Arts and Sciences. Over the past few years faculty and staff from Math, Liberal Studies, French, English, GAS, Health Sciences, HRT and our Administration have taken the program and received TESL training qualifying for TESL Canada certification. With so many international students in our colleges and universities these days, TESL training is no longer just for ESL teachers.

Join us for the Scholars' Cafe

Welcome to the Scholars' Cafe! This is a new CTL initiative this fall. It's a chance to meet with other faculty over coffee, to discuss the latest in the teaching and learning literature. It's like a book club, but for journal articles.

The Scholars' Cafe will meet at 10 a.m. on the first Friday of each month (with the exception of September, which is on the second Friday), and engage in informal discussion about a selected paper from the teaching and learning literature.
