College Council Highlights: April 6, 2017 Humber College Council (HCC) held its eighth meeting of the 2016-17 academic year on Thursday, April 6 at the North Campus. To ensure the Humber community is informed of upcoming events, new initiatives and important issues, College Council reports the highlights of its monthly meetings. Once again, we are proud to honour Humber’s distinguished alumni at the upcoming Premier’s Awards taking place November 27, 2017. We are seeking assistance from the Humber community to find potential nominees for the following categories (one graduate per category):

Sacha Ally, Coordinator, Centre for Human Rights, Equity & Diversity

HR Services Announcement Sacha Ally Coordinator I am very pleased to announce that Sacha Ally has joined us as Coordinator, Human Rights, Equity & Diversity. Sacha is responsible for the management of Human Rights training for employees and the Diversity & Inclusion Dialogues; facilitation of students’ human rights training and the coordination of human rights investigations. Sacha reports directly to the Director of Human Rights, Equity & Diversity.

Are you struggling to motivate and engage your students? Are you finding it increasingly difficult to come up with new ideas on how to bring FUN into the classroom? This workshop is designed to provide you with a "go-to basket" of FUN and ENGAGING activities that can be used in any discipline. Not only will you participate in the "actual activities," but you will walk away with a package of resources that can immediately be used in your teaching practice.

CTL: Blackboard Introductory Workshop

Faculty are encouraged to attend this 1 hour introductory workshop on Bb 9.1. Learn the basics of Bb 9.1 and find out how this product can enhance your classroom. Participants will discover how to upload the Humber Template and documents, and will be introduced to basic communication tools. Dear registrant for the Introduction to Blackboard Workshop:
