Radio Humber Hall of Fame

On March 24, Radio Humber celebrated 45 years of #RADIO at Humber College by inducting Adam Wylde (Breakfast Television & KISS 92.5), Amber Payie (CP24 & CHUM FM), Brad Barker (JAZZ FM), Maurie Sherman (KISS 92.5), Mora Austin (Larche Communications) and Ryan Doyle (NEWSTALK 1010) into the Hall of Fame. The recipient of the Builder’s Award was given to the University of Guelph-Humber’s own Jerry Chomyn, who was 96.9 Radio Humber’s first station manager. New Website for Students Graduating from Humber

Students graduating from Humber face unique challenges, from securing employment, to staying in touch with classmates and Humber, to finding new accommodations, or continuing their education. Student Life Programs, in collaboration with Career Services and Alumni Services, are proud to present a new website for students in their final year/semester. The Grad Life website connects students with on-campus resources that are particularly important during the final leg of their Humber journey:

CTL: The Teaching & Learning Book Club

You are invited to a discussion of Quiet: The Power of Introverts in a World That Can’t Stop Talking by Susan Cain. Does society undervalue introverts? Does our education system implicitly reward the “Extrovert Ideal”? Do we consider introverts when we design our lessons? Join us as we eat, chat, and examine the personal and professional implications of this fascinating book.  Participants are kindly asked to read the book before attending the discussion session.

Inclusive Design for Digital Media

Get hands-on training in AODA compliance with this brand new Inclusive Design for Digital Media mini-certificate. This certificate will introduce students to inclusive design in digital media that complies with the Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA). The curriculum focuses on how to write, design and format captions for video, write audio descriptions and alternative text for e-readers, and remediate and format accessible Word and PDF documents. Policy Changes The new changes to the Sunlife plan regarding osteopathic treatment does not affect the services provided by Lydia Henry as she is not registered with the named associations that will not be covered. Lydia Henry is a osteopathic manual practioner registered with the Ontario Association of Osteopathic Manual Practitioners (OAO). What is osteopathy? Osteopathy is a treatment philosophy which identifies areas of the body that are restricted or constricted, then eases these restrictions so that normal function can resume.
