In 1885, 22-year-old British immigrant, Abigail Peacock, finds herself stranded in northwestern Ontario with a father who has fallen gravely ill. Resisting what seems to be an inevitable future, a sensible career as a teacher, and marriage to a local storeowner, Abigail buys a gun. And everything changes.
