Humber Student Collaboration to be Installed this Week at Winterstations 2017

Welcome to Winterstations 2017! Students from four program areas will be featured as a winning institutional team in the third annual Winterstations Design Competition held at the Kew Beaches this winter. A design team comprised of students from all educational levels in Art Foundation, Visual and Digital Arts, Interior Design and Industrial Design were assembled through an open call for participation. The shortlisted group represents students from both the Schools of Media Studies and IT, and Applied Technology.

Join the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre in the tunnels underneath G Building on Saturday, February 25th for secrets of an ever changing landscape, the tunnel exhibition featuring the artwork of Gary Blundell and Victoria Ward. The collection has been inspired and informed by the history of Humber's Lakeshore campus, particularly the lived experiences of the Lakeshore Psychiatric Hospital patients who shaped the land through their labours. Healthy Child and Youth Development Forum

The Centre for Innovation in Health & Wellness invites you to our Healthy Child and Youth Development Forum on Wednesday, March 1, 2017, from 1:30-4:30 p.m., at the Humber Arboretum & Centre for Urban Ecology. Who Should Attend Faculty, staff, students, industry and community partners engaged in child and youth development studies, research, pedagogy, policy development, program and service delivery. Objectives
  • Understand interdisciplinary collaborations in healthy child and youth development;

Andy Milne -- Concert and Clinic

Pianist/composer Andy Milne draws inspiration from various forms of music, politics, philosophy, comedy and science fiction.

Some of his musical influences include Thelonious Monk, Art Tatum, Herbie Nichols, Bela Bartok, Joni Mitchell and Stevie Wonder.

Considered one of the most important and respected voices in jazz today, Milne is the recipient of numerous awards and commissions.

The Red Flag Campaign

SWAC's Health Centre and Counselling Services, are gearing up to participate in an exciting new public awareness campaign.  The Red Flag Campaign addresses dating violence on campus, and will appear on our campus beginning February 14, 2017. We will have activities related to this event between 11 a.m.-1 p,m. at the North Campus, E Concourse and the Lakeshore A170 (blue room) at the same time.
