Final Exam Period - Testing Services

The final exam period is upon us, and as a result, Testing Services will be operating at maximum capacity over the next two weeks. In order to ensure that students can complete final assessments over the next few weeks, we request that faculty submit the exams a few days in advance to ensure a seamless check in process. Please ensure the referral form is completed with all permitted materials and accommodation details for each student, as we will only provide students to test with materials and details outlined on this form.

Toy Drive

Once again The Department of Public Safety in partnership with The Toronto Police Service will be organizing and collecting toys for our annual #Santa9114Kids. Last year was a huge success! A big thanks goes to the Humber College Community. We were able to collect and donate hundreds of toys to several local hospitals, families, and single parents in the GTA that needed some help during the holiday season. Please bring a new unwrapped toy to the Department of Public Safety in NX101 before Monday, December 12, 2016.

CTL: Blackboard Retention, Reports & Tracking

The new Blackboard environment comes with a host of tools that enable faculty to track student success/engagement, create rules and warning notifications, track individual content areas and forums as well as monitor individual document usage rates.   Learn how Blackboard’s reporting tools can help you keep track of student engagement and help initiate critical conversations with your students. If you have a suggestion for a Blackboard workshop, please contact Mark at mark.ihnat@humber.ca
