CTL: Tech Talk - Managing Your Grades in Banner

It’s that time of year again!  At least once a semester faculty need to input their grades through MyHumber/Banner.  Faculty are required to enter/upload their mid-term and/or final grades.  The Managing Your Grades in Banner Workshop will cover how to enter one’s grades.  Join this workshop and find how easy it can be to submit and manipulate your grades using MyHumber/Banner. 

CTL: Tech Talk Making Your Online Content AODA Compliant

Ever wondered how to make your documents AODA compliant?  Using the Check Accessibility option available in MS Office Suite, faculty can verify if their documents are accessibility friendly.  Faculty will learn how to find common accessibility errors and how to fix them in a few short steps.  Come and find out how your documents can be properly viewed by all of our Humber students.

Since 1992, the United Nations International Day of Persons with Disabilities (IDPD) has been celebrated annually on December 3 around the world. The theme for this year’s International Day is “Achieving 17 Goals for the Future We Want”. This theme notes the recent adoption of the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the role of these goals in building a more inclusive and equitable world for persons with disabilities.*

The Workshop By-Request Program allows staff and faculty to easily request leadership workshops to be facilitated in the classroom or student training sessions by a professional staff member. CTL: Blackboard Embedding Content into Blackboard

Ever wanted to do more with Blackboard using external or third party resources?  There are many cool tools that can be integrated into the Learn environment that help increase student engagement.  Learn how to integrate video content, social media feeds, Google items, polling software or even more advanced tools such as Prezi or Jing.

CTL: Blackboard Building Quality Assessments

Building assessments in the new Blackboard environment has never been easier.  Create multiple assessments loaded with a variety of questions to help your students engage with the course content and review critical course material.  Explore the various assessment options including randomization techniques, exploring pools versus tests, understanding the survey tool and adaptive release techniques.

Transforming to the Unexpected; Spina Bifida: Front to Back by Steve Kean

TRANSFORMING TO THE UNEXPECTED STEVE KEAN EXHIBITS SPINA BIFIDA: FRONT TO BACK January 9 to January 27, 2017 | Monday to Friday L Space – Lakeshore Campus | 10:00 AM to 5:00 PM An exhibit of portraits of people living with spina bifida. “Front to Back” has been a true collaboration between Kean and those he photographs. It is a path to a sense of dignity and control over what happens to those with spina bifida. Audiences for the images in this project will see the people first. People whose lives have meaning and are beautiful.
