Changes to Recruitment Publications

After consultation with key stakeholders within Humber about the utilization of our Full-time Program Calendar, a decision has been made to develop a staff resource to replace a 2022/2023 Full-time Calendar. This resource will contain all the key program information and will be used by the Recruitment team and others in Faculties and departments. 

The feedback provided to GRMC was that this publication was rarely used outside of the recruitment team, and it was found that most areas utilized the web program pages directly for up-to-date program details and information.

Many colleges have already moved away from the production of a printed Full-time Program Calendar and this supports the recommendation of the Humber publications audit conducted by Centre for Excellence in Public Sector Marketing a few years ago.

The annual content review process by Faculties and RO will continue to ensure that the website is accurate when 2022/2023 program information is released in September 2021. This same info will be used for the staff resource.

The intent is to print a very limited quantity and it will also be available as an AODA accessible pdf for electronic use. This will have a positive environmental impact and result in cost savings, allowing us to reallocate funds to additional advertising throughout the year (i.e. Fall Boost, January intake campaigns) and to advertise programs needing additional support.

We will continue to produce our Viewbook and will work closely with the Recruitment team to determine anticipated print quantities.
