Earlier this month, Scott Briggs took on a new position on the executive team as Vice-President, Digital Innovation. This change recognizes the increased significance of digital capabilities and technology to the success of our teaching and learning approaches and in all areas of our operations.
As Vice-President, Digital Innovation, Scott will lead collaborative efforts across Humber to develop transformative digital strategies and plans that advance the college’s polytechnic agenda, create personalized digital experiences for learners and employees, use data and analytics to inform decision making, and support our overall strategic goals.
Scott has been with Humber since 2008 and during his tenure as Chief Information Officer has overseen several major enterprise projects, including the move of Banner, our student and financial information system to a cloud-based service and the introduction of a new Flexible Registration platform for continuous professional learning. Scott also led the creation of the college’s first Digital Campus Plan in 2019. He will be leading a refresh of that plan this fall to reflect our changing environment and the priority actions outlined in Humber Tomorrow.
Please join me in congratulating Scott on his new role.
