Sustainability Spotlight: Julian Klimczyk

This month we are putting the Sustainability Spotlight on Julian Klimczyk.

Before working as a Digital Content Creator in the Government Relations, Marketing and Communications department at Humber College, Julian Klimczyk was a student in the University of Guelph-Humber's Media Studies Program.

Julian’s passion for visual media and sustainability unite successfully in his role.

“I try my best, where possible to integrate our values of sustainability into our work on social media,” stated Julian. “First is keeping a lens of sustainability on all the posts that we draft; this means always including sustainable opportunities for our students and reminding them of how they can get involved. The arboretum, public transit and all the awesome events and initiatives created by our sustainability team are always top of mind as places to promote and support on campus.”

One of Humber’s priorities in the 2018-2023 Humber Strategic Plan is to be a “national leader in developing sustainable campuses”. Through employees such as Julian, who are embedding sustainability into their role, we are one step closer to this goal.
