Emergency Preparedness Week Contest

EP Week Contest Day 1

Do you know what to do in the event of an emergency? Do you have a personal or car emergency kit? Emergency Preparedness Week is a national initiative focused on raising awareness on how to be prepared for an emergency. To help raise awareness and get you into the spirit of EP Week, the Department of Public Safety’s Emergency Management and Business Continuity Program will be holding a contest during Emergency Preparedness Week from May 8 to 12, 2023.

Contest rules are as follows:

  • In order to enter the contest, you must be a student, faculty or staff member of Humber College or the University of Guelph-Humber.
  • There will one question per day for five days, Monday to Friday.
  • You must answer all five questions correctly to be entered into the draw to win the prize – a vehicle emergency kit.
  • You must provide your name and email address to enter the contest.
  • Each day a new question will be posted, including a tip on personal preparedness.
  • You will have 23 hours to enter your answer.
  • Limited to one entry per person, per day.
  • Answers to each question will be posted in Communiqué the following day.
  • The winner will be chosen from a random draw of all correct responses.
  • The winner will be notified via email on Monday, May 15, 2023.
