Sustainability
Humber’s Sustainability team leads the college’s commitment to providing national leadership in developing sustainable campuses. As a hub for campus engagement and information, the team fosters a culture of sustainability through building operations and development, interacting with the physical environment and communities around us, and in embedding a sustainability mindset into teaching and learning.

Equity is an essential component of sustainability and is centred in the UN 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. The Sustainable Development Goals are a framework that help us understand complex problems, and achieving balance between the social, environmental, and economic dimensions of our world. Moving Sustainability into Inclusion and Belonging will bring an intersectional lens to our work.

As part of the move, I am pleased to announce Lindsay Walker’s promotion to Director, Sustainability. Lindsay will continue her already stellar work leading Humber’s Sustainability strategy and embedding it into everything we do. This is important work as the college reimagines what it is to be a place of belonging.
