New Unique Logo for Accessible Learning Services Enhancing Inclusivity

Dear Humber/Guelph-Humber community,

We are delighted to announce a significant milestone in enhancing inclusivity and promoting a collaborative spirit on our campuses. Accessible Learning Services has partnered with our Life at Humber department to create a unique logo that represents our shared commitment to fostering a vibrant community where all persons can see themselves.

Our newly unveiled logo features elements that symbolize unity, diversity, and the empowerment of individuals. The design captures the balanced integration of accessibility and the spirit of student life at our college.

We invite you to take a moment to view the logo and learn more about the values it represents and the inspiration behind its creation.

Included in our symbolism:

  • Symbol for Accessibility
  • Audio Description CC
  • Access for Hearing Loss
  • Symbol for Braille
  • Text To Speech
  • Cognitive/Learning
  • Invisible Disability

We encourage you to embrace this collaborative effort by using the logo in your digital communications, presentations, and various materials when referring to Accessible Learning. By doing so, you will actively contribute to promoting inclusivity, unity, and a strong sense of community across our campus.

We believe this collaboration to be a significant step forward in our ongoing journey towards well-being and sense of belonging. Through joint initiatives and a shared vision, we aim to create an environment that celebrates diversity and provides equal opportunities for all.

Should you have any questions, require further information or to provide any valuable feedback about our logo, please do not hesitate to reach out to us at accessible-learning@humber.ca. We value your support and engagement as we continue to strengthen our action towards accessibility and voice for our learners with disabilities.

Thank you for being an integral part of our community, and we look forward to your active participation in embracing and promoting this logo.

Warm regards,

Desta McCalla
