Humber@TIFA Conference

We are less than three weeks away from Humber@TIFA 2023, our annual interdisciplinary conference. Just a reminder that this year's theme is Displacement and Diaspora; we are thrilled by the diversity and depth of the panel sessions that we'll be hosting.

We have not been able to host a face-to-face conference since 2019. To make our return to the Harbourfront Centre downtown a success, we would love to welcome you to the conference for free. View our program.

Our Plenary Panel and keynote on Friday, September 29 are particularly exciting:

  • 2 p.m: Plenary Panel: Diasporic Palimpsests and Outernationalist Dub in the Work of Angela Aujla and Indigenous Resistance: Angela Aujla, MA ; Prasad Bidaye, PhD
    Location: Studio Theatre
  • 4 p.m.: Keynote featuring Dr. Billy-Ray Belcourt, Indigenous scholar and writer
    Location: Studio Theatre

Both events will be followed by a short reception at the Boxcar Social at Harbourfront.

We will also be hosting a fascinating day of panels on Saturday, September 30. Breakfast and lunch are included.
