Congratulations Human Resources Management Students!

November 5, 2013

Congratulations to Humber’s team of Bachelor of Commerce (Human Resources Management) degree students who won the HR Masters Undergraduate Case Competition on Saturday, November 2, 2013, hosted at Sheridan College.

The stated aim of this tournament was to “find the best team of undergraduate HR students” and that team ended up being three students from Humber’s Bachelor of Commerce – Human Resources Management program: Marlies Farrill, Sara Smolej, and Marta Tsap. The competition required HR students, in teams of 3, to prepare an analysis (in two hours) of an HR-based case study and present it to a panel of expert judges (15 minutes).

In conferring top prize to Humber’s team, the judges commented on their thoroughness and professionalism. To the members of our team and their coach, Lynn McAuliffe – well done! A special thank you is also extended to the team of faculty and staff that guided the students during their practice and preparation sessions. This included Kathryn Filsinger, Graeme Simpson, Pierre-Pascal Gendron and Laurie Bradford. Great work everyone!
