HRMS Announcement

February 17, 2015
This past summer, Humber embarked on an initiative to replace our current HR Legacy system with one that will extend far beyond payroll, personnel and contract management to a broader solution that will include time and attendance, compensation, recruitment, employee and manager self-service in addition to other enhancements.

After conducting a very competitive and detailed process, we are excited to announce Oracle-PeopleSoft Human Capital Management has been selected to be our new Human Resources Management System (HRMS). We are confident with Oracle-PeopleSoft’s best-in-class integrated solutions will be a perfect fit for a college as large and complex as Humber. To assist with the implementation, we have partnered Deloitte.

Deloitte has over 250 higher education clients; over 20 years of PeopleSoft experience in 11 colleges and 9 universities in Canada.

We would also like to acknowledge the valuable contribution of the Evaluation Team during the consultations process for the development of the RFP.

Your involvement, commitment and support in getting this project off to a great start is an example of everyone’s dedication and effort in working towards a successful project implementation.

Effective immediately Kathy Cowan Sahadath, has been appointed full-time as the Project Director and will be leading the implementation team for the next two years. Kathy brings with her a tremendous amount of knowledge and expertise in the areas of project management and has led a previous HRMS implementation which will be a tremendous asset to our team and a project of this magnitude. The project implementation will also be supported by a team comprising staff from HR, IT and Finance. Throughout the implementation, we will be reaching out to representative client groups from across the college for their expertise and input at various stages.

Over the next several weeks Deloitte and our Humber team will conduct a fit-gap analysis and present its recommendation of the implementation process and timelines of the HRM System. Further communication regarding the details of the phases of the project, implementation timelines and milestones will be ongoing.
