I would like to announce some organizational changes in the Food Services department as of August 8th, 2016. York Tang, formerly the General Manager of Food Services, is now heading up corporate projects at the Chartwells C & U Dining Services head office. Replacing York as General Manager will be Ashlee Collins. Ashlee has had successful tenure at multiple College and University locations over her 11 year career with Chartwells, most recently at Ryerson University. In her role at Humber, Ashlee will oversee the activities of the Food Services department across Humber’s Campuses, assuming responsibility for management in the areas of operations, and maintaining Humber College’s vision as it pertains to Food Services.

Executive Chef Jerome D’Souza has been promoted to Director of Culinary, overseeing all menu planning and development, procurement and standardization as it relates to retail and catering services for Humber North and Lakeshore campuses. Gobi Perumal will remain Food Service Director but will now be managing all of Lakeshore Campus Food Services, including the new Starbucks location in the Lakeshore Welcome Center.  Replacing Gobi at Humber North Campus will be Maria Nicholls who joins us from Sheridan College, where she oversaw all of the Chartwells food service outlets and catering. Jose Jurado, Food Service Director at Lakeshore Campus, will be moving to Humber North Campus Residence to manage the daily operations and nutritional well-being of our residents. Maxie Antunes, current manager of the Humber North Campus Residence cafeteria will be moving down to Lakeshore as Retail Manager leading the branded and non-branded outlets to operational efficacy.
