Reading week is a perfect time to catch up and take care of yourself! Here is a self-care plan to get you started. Prioritize your well-being, recharge, and find your balance.
Eat healthy, exercise, and stay hydrated:
- Walking for just 30 minutes a day can have a positive impact on your health and happiness.
- Don't give up if you can't work out for 30 minutes at a time. Small amounts of exercise add up!
- Try adding a fruit or vegetable into your meal. You might grow to love them!
- Always have a water bottle on you to remind you to stay hydrated.
- Cut back a bit on our caffeine intake during reading week.
Do relaxing activities and prioritize sleep:
- Take this opportunity to catch up on sleep!
- Explore relaxation apps such as guided meditations or listening to relaxing music.
- Spend time with nature or relax indoors with a good book.
- Take this time to rest and restart.
Practice gratitude. Focus on positivity:
- Every day, remind yourself of what you are grateful for.
- Be specific. Write them down or run them through your thoughts.
- Write down your negative thoughts and change them into positive ones. Challenge them!
Have fun:
- The most important is to have fun!
- Relax, unwind, and rest your mind during this week.
- Prioritize yourself, spend time doing what you love, and connect with your loved ones.
