I had to create a colour still life and thought, what better idea than to create a piece showing the materials that surrounded me in my favourite place. These were some items that I used or was surrounded by in my art classroom. This was such a safe and inspiring space for me that I spent much of my time in during high school. My teacher was always there for me and opened my eyes to art. They depict three vultures highlighted in white against the back background. I based this series on a poem by Jarod K Anderson entitled ‘Clergy' from his 2022 collection "Love Notes From The Hollow Tree." It talks about the cycle of life and the importance of scavengers to the environment. It speaks to the smallness of humanity in comparison to the vastness of the natural world.

One fine day I got the idea to create something that could express me. I always had nightmares from which I could not escape. It has always made me stand in the darkness. Like how I am blinded by the darkness. That is what inspired me to take this self portrait. I stopped to look at my environment, to admire its beauty, then I looked up at the sky, and I noticed how still, beautiful the clouds looked in the sky. Instantly, I knew that I had to capture the beautiful image of the clouds. From looking for affordable housing to finding part-time work, it's easy to feel overwhelmed and unsure of how to overcome these obstacles. However, I the past few months have thought me that the key to success in this city is to let it embrace you.

Embracing the city means accepting its quirks and flaws, and recognizing that there is always a way to overcome any difficulty. It means being open to new experiences and opportunities, and being willing to take risks and push yourself out of your comfort zone.

Painting Acrylic Paint 20 x 16 Original Piece I took the reading week to tap into my spiritual feminity side. I did chakra meditation and aligned my chakras which I then decided to create a piece using colors of the universe and replicated how I felt about myself. In the artwork, a female body is laying resting in the universe with her 3rd eye open. She is relaxed and calm but yet seductive and appealing. This piece of art represents how bisexual people, including me, feel about love. Each hand represents a different gender that holds a heart and supports its life. I would also say that Love is usually about two people, so there're only two hands on the painting. However, I found a way to feel better by creating a similar 3D version of my room at home. I discovered 3D design recently and it helps me to not just see things on the display but feel them. I'm not a huge fan of cold weather, though I hate to complain about the same on a daily basis. No matter how chilly the weather was especially during the last week of November, I had to attend the college, and everyday I used to walk four kilometers to and fro. One day while I was going back home I couldn't resist my temptation to click the picture I've submitted. If a picture could tell a story, that picture definitely has a story or two to tell.
