Lakeshore Campus
Through arts, culture, and storytelling, the Lakeshore Grounds Interpretive Centre aims to interpret the natural and built heritage of the Lakeshore Grounds and to engage the surrounding community through exhibitions, tours, and cultural programming. We focus primarily on themes of education, mental health, Indigenous Heritage, environmental sustainability, and civic engagement.
The Interpretive Centre is operated by Humber College, under the Office of the Principal, Lakeshore campus and the Faculty of Social and Community Services, and is open to all Humber students, staff, faculty, and community members.
North Campus
The Humber Arboretum consists of nearly 250 acres of public gardens and natural areas located in the Humber River watershed in North Etobicoke and connected to Humber College's North Campus.
We are located in Building U, which is the Centre for Urban Ecology, located at Humber College North Campus.
North & Lakeshore Campus
The Idea Lab is a library initiative designed to support digital fluency at Humber College. The Idea Lab has four components: studio spaces, workshops, online resources, and student supports.
The Idea Lab has bookable spaces on the third floor of the LRC building at North campus and on the 3rd floor of the G building at Lakeshore campus. These spaces include video studios, audio studios, 3D printers, laser cutters, sewing machines, and more. All of our spaces are available to Humber and Guelph-Humber students, staff, and faculty.
The Idea Lab team hold regular open workshops on a variety of topics such as creating videos, building simple websites, and 3D printing. Workshop descriptions and schedules can be found below. The Idea Lab has a suite of online resources to support the creation of digital media such as podcasts, videos, and infographics.
The Idea Lab provides email support as well as online appointments for students working on digital assignments. The Idea Lab also schedules open labs where students can work on assignments with Idea Lab staff on hand for troubleshooting and guidance.
North Campus

Working with our industry partners, we can provide small to medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), faculty members, and students with cutting-edge resources throughout Barrett CTI’s many interactive labs, technology zones, and maker spaces. Partners, SMEs, faculty members, and students work together as collaborative teams to tackle business challenges.
Lakeshore Campus
In the department of Student Learning Services (SLS) the sub area of Peer Assisted Learning (PALs) delivers Learning Skills Workshops (LSWs) to Humber students. Learning Skills Workshops (LSWs) are designed to support students during their academic and personal journey. Our workshops will help students to learn practical tips and tricks on how to navigate post-secondary life and improve their work ethic and academic skillset.
We offer 12 Learning Skills Workshops that are facilitated by upper year student staff , Peer Learning Coaches (PLCs). Workshops are 50 minutes long and are free for all Humber and Guelph-Humber students. Workshops are delivered virtual, in-person (Lakeshore and North), 1:1 via Upswing, In-class and for Humber community partnerships.
