Vera Beletzan is the Associate Vice-President Teaching and Learning at Humber, where she provides leadership to the Centre for Innovative Learning in support of Humber’s strategic goals.

Vera has held numerous positions at Humber, including most recently that of Senior Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts & Sciences.

Vera has also led the development of Humber’s Institutional Learning Outcomes Framework in support of graduate employability. Vera has served on numerous system-wide committees and regulatory bodies, including the Heads of Interdisciplinary Studies for the Ontario college system, and the Teaching English as Second Language – TESL Ontario Professional Association.

With a background in English, Linguistics, Second Language Acquisition, Education and Teacher Education, Vera has extensive experience both as a teacher, teacher educator and academic leader. She is particularly interested in furthering competency-based learning, EDI in curriculum and the learning environment, and faculty professional learning in support of the polytechnic vision of preparing career ready citizens.
