Before registering for an examination, Candidates must be familiar with the Candidate Protocol, the Examination Policy and already have a valid Building Code Identification Number (BCIN). Always use your personal BCIN number when registering for an examination and NOT your company's BCIN. Candidates must register at least twenty-one (21) calendar days in advance of an examination.

Special Requests
Requests to register for any of the following special options must be submitted by email or phone and require special approval.
- An examination at a location in Ontario not listed in the schedule of examination sittings in Test Centres, where the Candidate has a home address more than 120 km from a Test Centre and where sufficient internet services is not yet available at the Candidate’s home address;
- Accommodation for a disability;
- A paper-based examination in a Test Centre;
- A French language examination.
