What to Expect

Participants engage in lesson planning, deliver micro-lessons in small groups, and receive detailed feedback through written, verbal, and video-recorded methods. Facilitated by trained IL Educators with extensive teaching experience, the ISW emphasizes learner-centered instruction, active engagement, and inclusivity to address diverse learner needs.

Whether you are new to teaching or looking to deepen your expertise, the ISW offers a transformative experience that fosters increased confidence, competence, and a commitment to ongoing professional reflection.


Learning Outcomes

By the end of the Instructional Skills Workshop, participants will:

  • Implement learner-centred instructional strategies and techniques
  • Establish positive learning environments
  • Navigate contemporary learning environments effectively
  • Integrate inclusive teaching and facilitation practices that respond to a wide variety of learning needs
  • Use feedback to critically self-reflect as a teacher and facilitator
