How to Apply
To be eligible to apply to live in residence you must have received and accepted an offer to study in the EAP program. After you have accepted your EAP program offer, it will take up to two business days to be able to access the residence application. Once you have access to the residence application, you should complete an application for only your first EAP session even if you plan to complete multiple sessions. Within 5 business days of receiving your application, the residence office will contact you via email to either offer you a space in residence or to inform you of your place on the residence wait list.
If you are offered a place in residence, you will be required to log back into the online portal to pay the $500 residence deposit. The deposit is non-refundable and non-transferable and must be paid by Visa or MasterCard online within two business days of receiving the room offer. Once you have paid your deposit, you will immediately see a deposit receipt which you should print for your records. You will then click “submit your application” to complete the process. (Note that if you do not click submit, your application will not be processed.)
Once the residence office has received your deposit, we will contact you to discuss pricing options, should you intend to stay in residence for multiple EAP sessions.

Important EAP Accommodation Information:
Accommodations:
Accommodations at the Lakeshore campus are either suite style or semi-suite style. Each suite has two private bedrooms, and each resident will have a double bed, desk with chair, and ample closet space. You and your roommate will share a kitchenette with a sink, microwave and full size fridge, a standard size washroom with stand-up shower and dining area with tables and chairs. Each semi-suite has two private bedrooms, and each resident will have a double bed with drawers underneath, desk with chair, guest chair and a wardrobe. You and your roommate will share a foyer, a standard size washroom with sink, and shower room with a stand-up shower.
Your residence deposit is non-refundable.
Dining Plan:
A mandatory dining plan is required to live in Residence during your school term. The dining plans are exempt from PST and GST for non-taxable meal items and the plans are intended to allow students to select from a variety of menu options at various locations on campus. During the summer sessions, on campus food service hours are limited. You may purchase an optional dining plan in the summer, but it is not mandatory. Students may sign out the full residence kitchen on the first floor of R Residence or use the community kitchens on each floor of LAR building. There is a specific Humber Residence and Dining agreement for EAP/ Apprenticeship Students, please be sure to review the agreement.
Move-In/Move-Out:
EAP students may move into residence 24 hours prior to testing and must move out within 24 hours of the completion of the academic session. In some cases, Residence is able to accommodate earlier arrivals, however in most cases students who arrive earlier than one day prior to the start of their EAP session must find alternative accommodations, such as at a hotel. Early arrival requests must be sent to lakeresmail@humber.ca. Approved early arrivals will be subject to additional charges.
Staying in Residence for Multiple Sessions:
EAP students enrolled in multiple, consecutive academic sessions can also opt to pay the one semester or full year residence rates. If an EAP student elects to use the option of the one semester or full year rate, they will still be required to complete an application for each session in which they are registered. Staying in Residence for the Summer Months:
During the summer months (May-August), the Residence offers summer accommodation. Rates for summer 2025 are TBD.
Mid-Year Break:
Humber Residence is closed during the holiday break. Additional accommodation options will be shared with residents during the fall semester, such as the option to book a room at a reduced rate hotel. Residents will be responsible for any fees incurred over the mid-year break.
