Spin-a-Thon was Once Again a Huge Success!

Last Friday, December 2, 2016, Humber and the United Way held their 7th Annual Spin-a-thon. A charity fundraising event that is organized and hosted by the third semester students of the Fitness and Health Promotion Students, School of HRT. The event saw 21 teams, some with solo riders, others with as many as 8 on a team, fundraise with the goal of donating all of their pledges to the Toronto York Region United Way in exchange for their sweat! The teams had to participate in the event for 4 hours. The energy was extremely high as was the volume of music, enthusiasm and laughter.

Strut With Your Mutt

Humber’s Fashion Arts and Business students treated dog lovers to a pet fashion show on Thursday, November 24th.  Purina PawsWay, located on the Toronto Harbourfront, held their second annual ‘Strut with your Mutt’ event in collaboration with Humber’s Fashion Arts and Business, Hotel Doggy, and Sears. Students have been working together to organize the event as part of the program’s Event Planning and Budgeting course with their Professor, Jennifer Dawson. The event raised $2500 to ‘Save our Scruff.’

Final Exam Period - Testing Services

The final exam period is upon us, and as a result, Testing Services will be operating at maximum capacity over the next two weeks. In order to ensure that students can complete final assessments over the next few weeks, we request that faculty submit the exams a few days in advance to ensure a seamless check in process. Please ensure the referral form is completed with all permitted materials and accommodation details for each student, as we will only provide students to test with materials and details outlined on this form.
