The Office of Research & Innovation (ORI) is seeking faculty members and researchers interested in supporting applications for the Canada Foundation for Innovation (CFI) – College Fund for Fiscal Year 2026.
The College Fund aims to enhance the capacity of Canadian colleges to conduct applied research, foster partnerships, and drive innovation in addressing social, business, health, or environmental needs within Canadian industries and communities.
KEY PROGRAM OBJECTIVES
- Strengthen partnerships with public, private, or not-for-profit sectors to drive innovation.
- Expand and optimize applied research capacity related to technology development activities.
- Generate social, economic, health, or environmental benefits at the local or national level, including training highly qualified personnel.
Funding Available: Up to $1 million per project, covering up to 40 per cent of total eligible project costs.
Matching funds from other sources are required.

Limited Space: Rules stipulate that each institute may submit only three (3) applications.
