For more than 35 years, Wanda Buote has been an extraordinary and influential member of the Humber Polytechnic community. Many of us have had the privilege of working alongside her as a colleague, mentor, or friend (or a combination of all three). And even if you haven’t had the opportunity to work with her directly, you’ve most likely felt her impact. 

From her early days at Humber’s bookstore to her current role as Dean of Education & Training Solutions, Wanda has shaped programs, supported colleagues, and helped Humber grow into the leading institution it is today.  

Now, as Wanda prepares for her well-deserved retirement, we have a chance to honour her in a way that reflects her ongoing commitment to our students. In recognition of her extraordinary legacy and lasting impact at Humber, we’re creating the Wanda Buote Scholarship for Growth and Resilience for students in Humber’s Condominium Management program, which Wanda herself helped bring to life. 

Our goal is to endow this scholarship to support Humber students in perpetuity. Every contribution, large or small, is both a show of gratitude to Wanda and an investment in the students and school she has proudly championed for decades.
