Judy Martin: A Remarkable Career Spanning 26 Years at Humber
After 26 years of dedication to Humber, Judy Martin, Associate Dean for Emergency and Funeral Services, Bioscience & Clinical Simulation, will be retiring at the end of December 2024. A proud Humber alumna, Judy’s journey as an employee began in 1998. She has held numerous roles, including Clinical Teacher, Professor, Program Advisor in Continuing Education, Program Coordinator for Practical Nursing, and Associate Dean. Prior to joining Humber, she served as a nurse and manager at Humber Memorial Hospital, bringing her wealth of experience in the health-care sector into her academic career.
Judy has been instrumental in supporting Humber’s evolution, contributing throughout her many roles to its growth from a community college to its current state as a prominent polytechnic. Reflecting on her time at Humber, Judy shared her gratitude for the amazing students, faculty, and staff she’s had the pleasure of working with, and their significant impact on her career.
In retirement, Judy looks forward to travelling and spending time with her family, while cherishing the countless memories and relationships built over her 40-plus years in the health-care and education sectors.
To help celebrate Judy’s remarkable career, a virtual retirement card has been created. We encourage everyone to share their wishes and favourite memories by December 17, 2024: Retirement e-card for Judy Martin.
