Farewell and Congratulations to Linda Jin-Troendle

Dear Humber community,

Dr. Linda Jin-Troendle, BA, MA, MBA, MSc, DBA, Program Coordinator, Global Business Management postgrad program in the Faculty of Business, has accepted the role of Chair, School of Management in the Business Centre at George Brown College, St. James Campus, effective February 1, 2022. While we are sad to see Linda leave, we are delighted to see her take on this new opportunity and progress her academic career.

Linda joined Humber as a part time instructor in 1992. Over the next 21 years she taught a variety of accounting and finance courses in the Business Management, Business Administration and Financial Services programs. In 2013 she became full time Professor and Program Coordinator for the Global Business Management postgrad program. Linda has since played key roles in revising and updating the program’s curriculum and implementing the semester stream options in the program’s third and fourth semester, while completing her MSc and DBA. She has been instrumental in helping many faculty transition to online teaching, and in helping lead the movement of course outlines to COSSID. More recently she has coordinated the Global Business Management program’s preparation for the upcoming CQAAP Audit, while acting as Co-Chair of the International Graduate School’s faculty community of practice.

George Brown College will certainly benefit from her strong interpersonal, organizational and leadership skills.

Linda will be greatly missed here at Humber.
