  • Write in a gratitude journal and meditation
  • Reflect on the past year and set positive intentions and goals for the upcoming year
  • Activities that bring joy, including reading, painting, writing, baking, winter camping, and spending time in nature
  • Not stressing about doing all wellness related activities and instead focus on establishing a sustainable routine
  • Limit screen time and disconnect from social media
  • Regular self-check-ins to assess mental and emotional well-being, and re-adjust self-care strategies as needed
  • When hosting holiday gatherings, ask for help with preparation, cooking and clean-up - being a great host/hostess does not mean doing it all yourself
  • Set boundaries for socialization to take personal time – not trying to see everyone and do everything

    • Complete a giant holiday crossword with family
    • Snuggle with pets
    • Visit my home country of India after 5+ years
    • Go to a Raptors game
    • Cookie-baking party
  • With so many tragic conflicts in the world, not taking for granted the privilege to spend time with family
  • Connect with loved ones who are uplifting and supportive and express gratitude for them
  • Donate to a toy drive to bring joy to some families this holiday season
  • Re-enforce boundaries when visiting with family members

Overall, many employees said they plan to keep their holidays balanced with some time to focus on fun activities and checking things off their to-do lists, while also ensuring they have lots of time to relax and recharge.

We hope well-being continues to be a priority throughout 2024.
