Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber are Smoke Free

Did you know that Humber and the University of Guelph-Humber are smoke free?

In fall 2018, Humber became the first public college in Canada to adopt the Okanagan Charter for Health Promoting Universities and Colleges. Going smoke free on January 1, 2019 was an important step in helping us achieve our ambitious goal of becoming the healthiest campus in Canada.

Smoking of any kind, including smoking tobacco and cannabis products as well as e-cigarettes and vapes, is prohibited on all Humber property. Humber property includes all campuses, buildings, spaces, grounds, including residence facilities and all vehicles and/or boats owned or leased by the College.

Members of the Humber community who want to smoke need to leave campus property to do so. Individuals are not be given time away from work or class to smoke.
