Dear Humber community, 

Staff from Chartwells, Humber’s food services provider, are set to go on strike as of 12:01 a.m. on Friday, November 21. 

Chartwells is an independent, third-party service provider, and their staff are members of the Unifor union. The collective agreement bargaining process is between Unifor and Chartwells. Negotiations are currently ongoing, and we are hopeful for a successful resolution. 

Chartwells staff may choose to exercise their right to picket at Humber’s North or Lakeshore campuses if a strike happens. 

In the event a strike, food outlets and services will be severely impacted, but will continue in Humber Residences.  

Details about any other available food service locations will be provided in the event of a strike and, as always, can be found on the Dine on Campus webpage.
