Since Fall 2022, Humber has been serving meals in reusable Friendlier containers. This is done in an effort to reduce single-use packaging that ends up in landfills and align with the federal government’s ban on several types of single-use plastic.
We have been able to avoid over 380,000 single-use containers from being used on campus since the introduction of reusable containers.
How to be Friendlier:
- Enjoy your meal in a Friendlier container.
- Scan the QR code on the bottom using the Friendlier app.
- Drop container into a Friendlier branded bin to be cleaned and reused.
A small deposit is charged with every container purchased, so scanning and returning containers is needed to receive your money back.
