After 19 years of outstanding service and dedication to the Humber community and its students, Kristeen Espana, Academic History and Student Records Officer, has decided to enjoy retirement as of December 31, 2021.

Kris’ first role at Humber was in the Contact Centre until she eventually shifted over to calling the Records department home, providing her majority years of service as a Record and Registration Specialist before moving into her current lead role as Academic History and Student Records Officer.

In her previous role of Registration and Records Specialist, she specifically supported programs and tied strong knots with the Faculty of Business. Kris is known for being in the office before 7 a.m., making sure there was always a smiling face ready to greet everyone in Records. Everyone would stop by to say hello every morning as they passed by her cubicle. 

Over 19 years, Kris witnessed countless changes in Records and the Office of the Registrar, and each time she challenged herself and others to adapt and excel. She consistently demonstrated a strong work ethic, reliability, dependability and a passion to serve students. Her commitment to Humber has been outstanding.

Kris plans to enjoy her retirement by spending time with her family and focusing on self-care including longer vacations and shopping for more shoes.

We would like to express our sincere thanks to Kris for her remarkable contributions to Humber. Kris and her love for music, decorating her cubicle and dressing up during Halloween will be greatly missed in our office, but we are happy that she can enjoy this next chapter with her family.
